Where angels fear to tread

Task 3:

Where angels fear to tread

This task is about reading to find information and make inferences.

Read ‘Where angels fear to tread‘, then answer the following questions.

How old is Ngorongoro Crater?

Two Million years old

What word does the writer use in the middle of the story to indicate that he wasn’t scared of buffalo?

Only is the word because say it’s “only a buffalo” means you do not know the dangers of the animal

c) What would have been a useful item to take on the walk to the lodge?
A flashlight would be an excellent choice because it was a dark night and only little amounts of light and those lights were way off in the distance. Even the moon ans stars were gone because they were behind clouds.

d) Explain how the saying in the final line, “Fools rush in where angels fear to tread”, goes with the story.

“Fools rush in where angels fear to tread” refers to a person who behaves impulsively; they don’t think before reacting. The saying goes with the story because a group of people, Halina and the speaker travel to Africa before knowing very little about it e.g. dangers, animals, people.

“Fools rush in where angels fear to tread” refers to the author and his limited knowledge

because if he had taking the wrong step and upset the buffalo as it says in Paragraph 5

he would be rammed over by the buffalo or trampled and killed. Thankfully he treated the

animal like a New Zealand sheep which was just to wave it away.

e) What two lessons could be gained from this story?

       i. Never cross a buffalo in the night

Ii. Always learn about the place before you go there

Term 4 Extension Escape Room project

This term our time was cut short because of many events but we have managed to get started on our new project. This project is a escape made in either real life or scratch which is a coding company. Elijah, Jacob and I decide we would do our escape room in real life but strategize online which has gone quite well. Today we made a cardboard cat for one of our projects inside the project. We have had great fun doing this and hopefully we complete it.

Graphy Graphs

Today in class we had to correct and answer some questions and graphs. What do I mean correcting? Well imagine a pie chart, the maximum of a pie chart  is 100% but if it is lower or higher then that is a incorrect pie chart. Another example would be having a bar chart without numbers like the number of kids like this or disliked that. I hope you enjoy the presentation.

The Winning side

The winning side which is based on a school girl named Nia and school politics. It also talks about Charisma and what it is. Nia is a shy girl who is determined to do what she thinks is right. While all the other Candidates wish the opposite maybe I should be more specific.  Behind there Library there is a Bush block which is a area that has a few trees. This place is the most peaceful place you will find here and one of the last places shy guys and gals go to relax, study, read and draw. The point i’m trying to make is Nia is trying her best to protect from the other candidates who are pushing to take it down and replace it with a sports court. But in the end Nia wins the hearts of all and takes the usurps the crown of Amy Armstrong and becomes the “Winning side”.

Extension project

Last term in term 3 we had to make an artwork based on a country. I picked Spain and made these objects. Before this we had to make a research task on such things and after we did everything else we had to make a script and a movie. This is the finished product. I hope you enjoy.
