This week we’ve been learning how to add up to 360 or 180. This is a fun little task to do and I enjoyed it.
4 Dawn Raid
Last week, some more of the book got unraveled, now Sofia has finally got her go-go boots and her family are going to Auckland to say hi to there Grandparents.
What are 3D shapes
This week our focus to Identify the properties of a 3D shape like a cube, Cylinder or sphere. We had to show the details of he shape and then we had to do the volume of the shape.
Dawn raid – Novel study
This week we had read 19 more pages of Dawn raid and answer some comprehension questions, a explanation of what Media Bias was and 2 choices of you choose. I picked making a movie and Sofia trying to jump onto the milk truck.
Let’s Discuss – Dawn Raids 3
Today we had a discussion about Dawn raid, Our two main topics were “What do you think of Sofia” and “Was the doctor rude towards Sofia’s Mum”. We didn’t do too bad but wee also didn’t do to good, that means it was a so-so. We managed to keep our two lives, the two lives was apart of the game where we had to keep up the conversation without breaking the Ground Rules, while somebody got there on life and lost them Twice. Either way we got it over and done with.
Shape, Shape, Severus Shape
This was a task based on angle, shapes, Polygons. This was a easy and simple task that helped us settle into the hardships of maths. I enjoyed because we had to find shapes through out the world.
Term 2 project EXT 2023
Here is my Extension project for term 2, it was based on three important points, Cultural appropriation, Sustainability, Social consciousness. We had to be clothes designer for special events of your choosing. The obvious choice was a wedding which was simple and easy. The twist was that we had to pick a country, a country that isn’t in the pacific. I picked Scotland as my main place for Idea and Design. The photo on top shows a suit and a Scottish kilt. The designs and patterns on the Kilt are called Tartan which has information linked on top. We were also told that we would usually have to ask the people where the cultural clothes originate. For example I would have to go to Scotland to ask their take on the design and what I should change about it. The two tartan squares are of two different clans, Murray family of Atholl. and Montgomery.
The Polygon
Today we had to learn about different types of Polygons. This was fun because I got another recap on shapes that I may have not heard of before.
The Triangle
These slides gives us a recap on the angles of triangles. This was a good recap because it also had information on different angles. This was fun to do and I enjoyed the joke at the beginning.
My goal setting
My goals are to do more physical activities like running or exercising. I think that these are good goals.
